Bonjour , atti
d'ou sont vos origines, je pense d'Italie ?
Oui zd83, nous sommes italiens.
Presente nous en deux mots le groupe?
Le groupe en deux mots? Pardonne moi mais je vais t' écrire ca en anglais parce que mon francais est très
mauvais... ;P
Voilà:
Two powerful Italian performers let down by their country's stale musical scene.
Atti takes care of vocals and guitar riffs while Ardog nails his manic drumrolls.
A self-taught player, Atti absorbed genuine hard rock influences which he translates into a trademark sound. Ardog's heavy rhythmic approach is purely metal and mental! The clash between them
gives birth to a distinguished blend of music, as can be heard on their self-produced 2007 album, the eponymous "Drop Alive" (FREELY DOWNLOADABLE ON WWW.DROPALIVE.COM).
Their live shows are wildly entertaining. These guys are constantly looking for interaction with their audience and they always pull all sorts of crazy tricks.
Their songs find yet another dimension when Drop Alive unplug, get hold of an all-acoustic setup and let the purest essence of the tunes pour out.
Meaningful lyrics, a loud and clear message, a very personal approach.
Drop Alive aims way beyond high!
Je vais te dire quelque chose de plus, pour ton article, je ne
sais pas, si tu veux l'utiliser:
BIOGRAPHY
We both work in a supermarket and that's where we bumped into each other in 2004, when I began working there. One day I was about to walk home when I heard Sepultura's "Beneath The Remains"
being blasted out of a car stereo. Sure enough, that was Ardog and sure enough that was enough of a good reason to ask a lift home, you know, just to listen to the music!
We've been playing together since 2006. Ardog's always been into metal while my first love was classic rock. We didn't really set out to play metal, it just happened to be the common ground
between the two of us.
Musical influences: as for the first record, I'd personally say Black Sabbath and Megadeth. We're currently working on our second album, which is very likely going to be called "Not Shaking
Hands" and will be out sometime this year. I feel this one sounds a lot more personal, because two years of writing songs together have allowed us to find our own voice. Anyway the riffs on
this record will be more influenced by the likes of Black Label Society, Staind and Pantera.
ADDITIONAL INFO
The debut album "Drop Alive" was recorded during the first months of 2007 and released in July of the same year.
It's almost a year now since its release and it hasn't sold a single copy...
But we couldn't be happier about this, because the whole album is freely downloadable on our website (www.dropalive.com) and on many others.
Among these, we'd like to mention garageband.com, where three songs of the album have been featured as "Hard Rock song of the day" in January and March, and jamendo.com, where the album has
been massively listened to and downloaded.
Indiesolo.com judged us to be one of the seven best European bands of 2007.
Podcasters around the world have been playing our songs and talking positively about the album!
We'll be featured on the first issue of the new Buzzbin magazine, published in the USA, out at the end of march 2008.
We also have a myspace, www.myspace.com/dropalive.
